One of the things our guests love most about Nicura Ranch is how easy it is to spend a full day here without ever leaving the property. From sunrise to sunset, every corner of the farm offers a little piece of calm, connection, and countryside charm.

Start your morning slow and sweet—grab a fresh muffin and scramble up some of our farm-fresh eggs. Breakfast tastes better when it’s enjoyed on your private patio, especially with a view of the horses grazing in the front pasture. If they’re in the barn, head upstairs to our barn viewing loft and sip your coffee while watching the herd below.

After breakfast, take a peaceful walk through the property. Wander along the tree-lined paths, visit the creek, and soak in the sounds of birds and rustling leaves.

In the afternoon, join us in the barn for horse grooming. Whether you’re brushing down Beans, loving on Bubba B, or watching Ginger and Cinnamon as they prance by, it’s a chance to connect with our beloved animals. (Important note: In summer, grooming happens during the afternoon; in the chillier months, it takes place at night.)

Once you’ve dusted off your boots, you can try your hand at fishing in our pond, or wind down in the sauna while the sun starts its slow descent.

Dinner doesn’t need to be fancy to be memorable. Build a simple charcuterie board or hearty sandwich from your own goodies, then pick a bottle of wine from our bar and head out to the back pasture for a sunset picnic. There’s nothing quite like golden hour at Nicura Ranch—sunset, horses, and peaceful bliss. (Read more about picnicking with the horses, here.)

After dark, wander into the Gallery for a sip of Kentucky bourbon. Take in a game of pool in the billiards room, or catch a movie in the private theater. End the evening around the outdoor fire pit with a bowl of our homemade ice cream. Let the crackle of the flames and the star-filled sky wrap up your perfect day on the farm.
