Accommodations

Come experience our farm and stay in one of our five private guest suites located within our barn. Our amenities include a fishing pond, dock, pedal boat, nature trails, picnic areas, movie theater, sauna, billiards room, fitness center, lounge, patios and fire pits. Guests are welcome to interact with our retired race horses, and be entertained by our goats, chickens and loveable dogs. 

Plan to indulge in an evening bourbon, morning muffins, fresh eggs and fruit. Treat yourself to a pint of our delicious homemade ice cream. 


Our accommodations are pet friendly (to friendly pets), and pets always stay free. Your pup is welcome to enjoy our fenced in dog park or explore the pastures.

Horses

Kentucky is the horse capital of the world, and Nicura Ranch is the place to stay for horse lovers. Our retired horses are stunningly beautiful; each with a unique personality. We invite guests to learn about their pasts as well as their injuries, rehabilitations and adoptions.

We are proud to give these horses the best life possible after the track. A large portion of each reservation supports our horses and animals.

Nicura Ranch is the ultimate peaceful getaway. Staying above the barn meant incredible views of the animals day and night. Nick was a wonderful, friendly host with great stories. My favorite part was sitting on the bench while my new best friend, Bubba B the horse, came over to hang out, while the funny goats kept us entertained! Between the nature, the sweet animals, and the fresh daily muffins, eggs, and cream, we couldn't have asked for more. We recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be back with the whole family!

I stayed at Nicura with my wife and our two sons and we all loved the experience! The farm is very pretty and it is such a unique experience staying in a barn with a view of goats and horses in the stable. We loved meeting the animals (especially their horse "Beans"). Our boys loved the movie room and the pool table, while my wife loved the fresh coffee cream in our fridge. We also pre-ordered three flavors of their homemade ice cream and they were waiting for us in our room. Their ice cream is much better than what you get at most places.

Overall, I/we would highly recommend Nicura for a unique and relaxing stay. We are planning on staying here again in the fall.
