Animals:

Guest Animals: Pets are welcome and stay free. We love our four-legged guests. There are no size or breed restrictions. However, aggressive pets are not permitted. Animals acting in an aggressive way will be asked to leave without a reservation refund. Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their pet. Please keep in mind that other animals are present on the property, and this may cause your pet to become uncomfortable. As a safety to all pets visiting our farm, dogs are not permitted to run around the horses.

Our Animals: Guests are invited to interact with Nicura Ranch animals. Interactions should take place in a safe manner. Use caution while interacting with horses. Under Kentucky law, guests assume all liability while engaging in farm activities with the animals on our property (horses, goats and chickens). Horses and goats may approach guests in the field/pastures. Guests should be alert and respectful, and always avoid having children or dogs run around the animals. Our animals are very friendly, but can spook. Proper footwear (closed toe) must be worn in the fields/pastures.

Barn: Guests are never permitted to open or close a stall door. Guests should not enter horse stalls unless guided by a Nicura Ranch staff member. Please refrain from feeding the animals. For the safety of our animals, the barn area is under surveillance.

Horseback Riding: We do not permit horseback riding. A nearby farm offers trail rides. More information can be found on our Things to Do page.

Cancellations:

Nicura Ranch is an exclusive inn and farm. Your stay with us is important and special. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please notify us, through email, at least 14 days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. Cancellation requests can be emailed to nicuraranch@gmail.com Cancellations cannot be made by phone. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are non-refundable. If Travel Protection (Insurance) was purchased with your reservation, please submit the appropriate documentation for a refund. Guests booking through Airbnb, VRBO, Bookings.com, etc adhere to the cancellation policies provided by the booking engine used.

Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special events.

Check in/Check out

Check in: 3:00PM (or any time after) Guests self check in to their reserved suite, using the door code provided in a welcome email (sent prior to arrival). Door codes will begin working at 3pm, the day of your arrival, and will deactivate the day of your checkout.

Check-out: 11:00AM. Check-out time must be met to allow cleaning to be completed for the next guest(s). We cannot permit late checkouts. Unfortunately, because we do not have public restrooms on our farm, guests are not able to stay past check out. Door Codes will deactivate after check out time, and guests will not be able to access the suite.

Children: Children must be supervised by their guardian at all times, including in the Gallery, pastures, barn, pond/dock and hayloft. Children (under 16) are not permitted in the fitness center or Sauna room.

The Loft: Guests are not permitted to access the left side of the hayloft, as this area is only used for storage (signage for restricted areas is posted). Guests are expected to keep noise at a reasonable level. For your safety, please do not lean or sit on railings. Do not run in the Hayloft. Guests are asked to please adhere to all posted rules and hours.

Other Policies

Swimming is at your own risk.

Due to the nature of a farm, Nicura Ranch cannot guarantee the fields and pastures to be risk free. Guests should be aware of rocky/uneven ground, mud, divots, etc… Though not common, snakes and other critters could be present in areas, especially the woods surrounding the farm and around water. As with any farm, flies will be present during warm months.

No smoking inside (including marijuana use). However, designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Evidence of smoking will result in a minimum $300 cleaning fee.

Items missing from the room or left damaged will be charged. (Accidents happen. Please notify us if you damage something and we will try to work with you on it. We always appreciate honesty.)

Utility Outages: Water/Power Outages are very rare, but can occur in a weather event or water main break. Refunds will be issued for outages exceeding 10 hours, if a guest wishes to cancel their reservation.

Credit Card Security:

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely. The card on file may be charged for items purchased during your stay or any damages/incidentals that may occur. Credit card information is automatically deleted when your stay is complete.
