Who wouldn’t enjoy a girls’ trip? If you have a circle of friends who adore animals and nature, why not organize a retreat at our farm to bond, laugh, and escape from the everyday hustle? Explore our ideal three-day itinerary for the ultimate getaway.
Starting with the reservation, the suite you choose will depend on the number of people attending. If you are considering hosting 2-3 guests, our Rose suite would be ideal for your stay. For larger groups, why not consider “Renting the Ranch”? This option offers complete privacy on the farm and ample space. The Ranch currently accommodates 10 guests, and will soon host 18 once our additional suites are finished.
Now that you’ve made your reservation and perhaps added some delicious baked treats, your weekend getaway is all set to begin!
Friday afternoon/evening:
Everyone arrives after a busy week and long travels, so you might be feeling a bit tired. Let everyone unpack before heading over to Nightjar, a delightful spot in Berea known for its homemade menu and unique drinks. Indulge in their famous burger or opt for a lighter salad while savoring craft cocktails and catching up with everyone. After dinner, stroll over to Peg & Awl for some entertainment. If it’s karaoke night, grab the mic, select your favorite gal-pal song, and sing your heart out!
Upon returning to the Ranch, head to the Gallery lounge for complimentary bourbon and evening cookies. For those not keen on bourbon, treat yourself to some ice cream and unwind by the firepits outdoors.
Saturday:
Wake up and indulge in fresh muffins and fruit, along with a cup of coffee. Enjoy your breakfast on the patio while observing the horses in the front pasture. After breakfast, stroll around the property to visit the chickens and goats. Be prepared to encounter the farm’s friendly dogs, who might accompany you back to your room and shower you with puppy kisses.
Explore Berea’s artistic shops in the afternoon. From pottery to paintings and wood crafts, you’ll discover a variety of creative treasures. Wrap up your shopping excursion with a visit to SoYum Candles, where you can personalize and create your own candle.
After a day of shopping and candle making, head out to Chenault Vineyards for wine tasting and a charcuterie board. Take a walking tour, enjoying the grape vines and scenery, or plan ahead and book a private experience with the wine maker.
Upon returning to the farm, make your way to the barn for some animal cuddles. The goats will be thrilled to receive some extra guest attention.
Have everyone meet upstairs at the slipper bar. Kick off your shoes and get comfy with a pair of our oversized, fuzzy horse slippers. Get ready for lots of photo-worthy moments.
Pop some popcorn and head into the movie theater. Pick out your favorite flick and get lost in a movie. You’ll be transported back to your childhood, feeling like you’re at a slumber party with your closest friends.
Before heading off the bed be sure to sneak a peak in the barn. If horse grooming is going on, feel free to join in or capture some photos with these majestic creatures. Giving a horse hug before bedtime is always good luck.
Sunday: Start the day off right by cooking up some of the farm fresh eggs available in all of our suites. Then, make your way to the Pinacles, Berea’s premier hiking destination. The stunning and picturesque views at the Pinacles are truly unforgettable. With trails catering to all skill levels, select the one that suits your group best, and remember to bring along your camera to capture the memorable moments.
Return to the farm to unwind and freshen up before dinner. Since it’s your final evening, why not add a touch of glam? Treat yourself to a delightful dining experience at the Boone Tavern, known for its sophisticated historical setting. Indulge in the complimentary spoonbread, a local Berea specialty, and soak in the delightful ambiance of this century-old establishment.
After dinner, head back to the farm and unwind in our billiards room or choose a board game to play in the Gallery. Enjoy the final evening of a fantastic weekend.
