Meet Cabernet—Our Gentle Giant with a Champion’s Heart

There’s a new horse on the hilltop, and he’s already stealing hearts.

Cabernet—nicknamed Cabbie—is a tall, striking thoroughbred. His deep, dark coat that shimmers nearly purple in the sunlight is contrasted by a thin white stripe and soft pink nose. He carries himself with a quiet confidence, the kind of elegance that makes you pause and watch just a little longer than you meant to.

Cabbie came to us from New Vocations, after his racing career was cut short by injury. Registered under the name Sir Clouseau, his pedigree runs deep. His grandfather is the legendary Warfront, and his mother, Madame Clouseau, came from Ireland. At 17 hands, with a bold black neck, he’s impressive in stature. Yet it’s his calm, gentle spirit that makes him unforgettable. He greets you softly, with curious big eyes and impeccable manners, like a true gentleman.

Like a fine Cabernet, Cabbie is refined, bold, sophisticated and charming. His name is truly perfect.

He is a quick learner and has integrated well with our other horses – learning routines and procedures. We are thrilled to have him as part of our family, and share him with all who visit Nicura Ranch.
